From our study, WC-3mass%TiC-2mass%TaC binder-less cemented carbide with dispersed sphere-shaped carbon has excellent performance maintaining hydrodynamic lubricant film under the high PV value condition at the mechanical seal ring application sealing the water. The tribological performances under dry condition were evaluated in this study. In the result, this alloy showed high tribological performances concerning to the frictional torque increasing, the temperature increasing, and the wear on frictional surface. It means that this alloy is a suitable material for solid lubrication associating the contacts between opposed two sliding surfaces directory.

WC-3mass%TiC-2mass%TaCバインダレス合金に球状カーボン分散させた超硬合金は、純水を封止したメカニカルシールリングアプリケーションにおいて、高いPV値での流体潤滑膜を維持する能力に優れている。本実験では、水の無いドライしゅう動環境における同合金の性能を評価した。その結果、同合金は、しゅう動トルク・温度上昇・しゅう動面の摩耗において、良好なトライボ特性を示した。このことより、相対する2面間の直接接触を伴う固体潤滑においても、同合金が優れたしゅう動部材であると考えられる。
