The super fine grain cemented carbide "SF30" is superior to conventional fine grain carbide "FND30" on hardness and strength. We selected raw WC powder and optimum grain growth inhibitor from the several material evaluations, and applied their sintered body to the segment-type test Die Cutter, and evaluated it. In conclusion, it was found that the Die Cutter made of "SF30" has longer tool life than the Die Cutter made of "FND30" with retaining equivalent fracture toughness.
