One of the features of Tungsten is high density (19.3). Heavy Alloy is a tungsten sintered alloy consisting of tungsten and a binder phase with nickel, copper, iron, etc. those are used for various kinds of weight. In addition, those are also used for radiation shielding materials because of radiation shielding effect realized by high density. Due to environmental requirements, Heavy Alloy have attracted attention as replacement for lead which has been used for the application.
