ON/OFF of electric current is one of the most important functions of electric switches. For this purpose, a composite material of copper or silver having a good electric conductivity and tungsten with little arcing wear is used for the contact of switches. Because of having advantages of little thermal expansion, good thermal conductivity and large specific gravity, our contact materials are applied to various purposes other than the contact.
